Since 1988, our girls’ dance team has provided spirit and energy to Friday night football games, basketball games, concerts and other FPD events. Annually, we participate in summer camps to build team spirit and develop our abilities. Known as the Vikettes, our audition-based group of young ladies has competed in the 1994, 1995, and 2004 National Dance Team Championships in
Orlando
,
Florida
. In addition, since 1997 our team has also participated in the Georgia Dance Team Competitions held in
Conyers
,
Georgia
. We are grateful to have won numerous personal and group awards throughout the years.
We thank the Lord most of all for the opportunity to dance in a Christ-honoring way, bringing joy and enthusiasm to others. We thank God, our FPD faculty and students and their families for the support they give to our team.

Dee Gess holds biology and psychology degrees from the College of Charleston. She also received her Masters in teaching from Georgia College and State University. She teaches environmental science as well as helps with the LAP program at FPD. Her husband is also a teacher at FPD and coaches football. They both attend Grace Community Church.
