A Message From Our Elementary School Principal

Hello! I am so glad you are checking out the Kindergarten and Elementary School at First Presbyterian Day School.  Our children are busy every day painting pictures, playing outside, reading, writing and publishing stories, singing, using Everyday Math, keyboarding on the computer, listening to stories, and worshipping God through each of the disciplines.  What a wonderful place to be!  Our faculty and staff work side by side to provide a loving atmosphere where children grow and learn.  We are proud of our facilities and appreciate our parental involvement.

Our mission for our elementary school is to equip children to   change the world for God's glory.  What a wonderful opportunity we have to work together for this mission.  Every child has a unique place in our school, and we enjoy finding the talents each child possesses.

The curriculum is developmental and spirals from year to year.  We use portfolio assessments to keep track of the children's work.  Classrooms provide children opportunities to pursue spiritual as well as academic excellence.  Because we are a college preparatory school the curriculum is challenging and engaging. Our campus is easily located near Wesleyan College and visitors are always welcome.  Please come by and tour our campus and have lunch with us.  We are truly proud of our children and the facilities of our school.
