Boys Basketball Team Announces Postseason Awards
Head Coach Greg Moore announced these individual awards at the annual end-of-season awards banquet this past Monday night at Vineville North Baptist Church.  The teams enjoyed dinner from Outback Steakhouse, team and squad presentations from each coach, and a musical video paying tribute to this year's teams and the seniors.
 
Team Captains:  Logan Faulk, Ben Childs
Highest GPA:  Walker Middlebrooks, 96.0, soph.
Most Improved Player:  Zach Jones, soph.
Attitude Award Winner:  Rawson Ridley, jr.
Best Offensive Player:  Logan Faulk, sr.
Best Defensive Player:  Ben Childs, jr.
Most Valuable Player:  Caleb Foxworth, jr.
 
7 of the 10 letter winners on the team were 1st time letter winners as varsity basketball players, supporting Coach Moore's assertion that this team will only see improvement as the bulk of the roster matures and gains experience.  None of the other 3 letter winners has lettered more than twice.
 
 
2006 FPD Varsity Boys Team Awards
Post Season Awards Announced
Coach Moore announced the post-season awards for the 2005-06 Boys basketbal team at the annual awards banquet February 28th.  The Vikings ended the season 9-19, suffering from inconsistency and inexperience.  The Vikings did, however, survive the play-in game of the Region 2AAA tournament, upsetting Central Fellowship to advance to the Region and State tournaments.
