First Presbyterian Day School has a proud tradition of excellence, and it is our hope that such achievement will continue on and off the field. The Viking athletic programs are an integral part of the school’s purpose of educating the whole person. As such, we desire that parents and guests understand the goals of the athletic program.

We want our athletes to learn more and more every day what it means to serve Christ.
- We want to win!! But, we do not want to win at the expense of ethics, respect, or discipline.
- We want our efforts to be motivated by “giving back” to God, who has given so freely to us.
- We want to be a “family.” We are faithful and loyal to ALL of our athletes, coaches, and student helpers. We want to offer to all involved the joy of being a part of something bigger than ourselves alone, something that matters, something in which we feel tremendous pride for having been a part.
Athletics provide an opportunity for athletes, coaches, and fans to practice the principles of God’s word. Competition offers an arena for the demonstration of our faith in Jesus Christ and opens many doors for active ministry. We thank you for choosing to be a part of the FPD experience.
