FPD is excited to unveil the 2014 Spring Program Guide for the Center for Discovery. The list of new classes for students includes opportunities in computer apps, Chinese culture, violin & flute, mini-majorette training, babysitting, voice training for all ages, cooking & baking, volleyball, and spring cheerleading. These supplement multiple favorites from the fall including Bricks 4 Kidz, Mini Math Mayhem, chess, web development, dance, gymnastics, instrument lessons, and more. For adults, the Center for Discovery is hosting two theology classes as well as yoga, Zumba, ballroom dancing, and instrument lessons.

Also new this season are opportunities for parents and students to learn together.  James Moore, FPD Assistant Chaplain and Football Coach, is hosting a class for fathers and sons to take together called “Our Time.” Likewise, mothers and their teens can participate in a free, one-day self-dense course led by Paige Slocumb, a certified self defense instructor.

“We are extremely pleased with the participation we had for our fall classes and look forward to a great spring season,” said Elizabeth Leslein, Coordinator for the Center for Discovery. “We received a lot of suggestions and input from our participants that we put into play for the spring. The variety of classes just keeps getting better and better.”

Registration for the Center for Discovery will open by Thursday, November 20. To learn more about the Center for Discovery and to register for classes, CLICK HERE.
