This year FPD wants to encourage our students, faculty and staff to remember to be “All In” on a daily basis. Being “All In” means the ultimate goal in everything is not to win awards or achieve accolades, but to remain focused on glorifying God. The underlying Bible verse is Deuteronomy 6:5, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”

This commitment takes many forms, whether it is remaining diligent in academic study, persevering through challenges, or being a consistently positive influence on others. We are called to not grow weary, but to remain faithful, committed to glorifying God by doing our best.

Regardless of the form it takes, being “All In” is not always easy. When conditions are favorable, it is easy to be dedicated. When studying for a course is simple, maintaining enthusiasm for the course is not a challenge. When a team is winning, being a team player is effortless. However, when challenges arise, it can be difficult to remain committed. During those challenges, it is more important than ever to be “All In,” to glorify God in the midst.

Thankfully, at FPD, we are part of a family of believers who can encourage one another and uplift one another as we strive for this goal. “All In” is a concise reminder of something that has always been at the heart of FPD. FPD is a community, a family, seeking to love the Lord our God, and honor Him, in all that we do.

Join us this year as we seek to be “All In” together.
