Iron Foot 3v3 Soccer
For boys and girls in grades 3 – 5
Soccer is the most popular youth sport in the world for one reason: It’s fun! Kids just love to play soccer! Created especially for 3rd -5th grade boys and girls, Iron Foot soccer is dedicated to the young athlete who wishes to learn the game in a fun, but challenging setting. Players will meet twice weekly for six weeks and will be introduced to the technical aspects of the game including dribbling, shooting, passing, receiving, and defending. As the season progresses, they will be given opportunities to demonstrate their growing skills in real game situations, in a 3v3 format, to ensure lots of touches on the ball.
Iron Foot will use an innovative training method, which maximizes touches on the ball, the key to a young player’s development. The Iron Foot method focuses on training to develop each young player’s skill with the ball; education so that the player better understands decisions he/she is making on the field; and preparation, so that by the end of the season, he/she is prepared to advance to the next level, if that is his/her desire. Training topics will be limited to the foundational aspects of the game, focusing on keeping a ball at the young player’s feet. Certain topics, such as goalkeeping and heading, are intentionally excluded, as they can be introduced later when the child is older. Games are integrated into each session to keep it fun! Players will also be led with weekly Bible based lessons on the Marks of a Christian Athlete.
Led by veteran trainer Charlie Parrish and his staff, young players will be grouped by age and gender and will be trained according to their ability. Whether your child is a first-time player, or has experience in the game, he/she will be appropriately challenged in a fun setting!.
