September 18

  • Jr. Beta Club Induction: Thursday, 9/20, 8:15. Fine Arts Theater. Members and inductees should be in the theater no later than 8:00.  Members, please wear your Beta Pin if you have it. School Uniform – no P.E. clothes
  • All swimmers who are swimming for the 2018-2019 season, forms are due by September 20 to Coach Leslein or Coach Scott.
  •  Any Middle Schoolers interested in Robotics please meet in room H202 after school TODAY, Tues (the 18th) and Wed (the 19th) from 3:30-4:15.
  • If you are 17 ½ years old and would like to register to vote please drop by Mr. Shane Hall’s classroom (H211). You will need to have a valid I.D. in order to fill out your voter registration application. You can also register online at the Georgia Secretary of State’s website. The deadline to register for this upcoming election is October 9. You must be 18 years old by election day November 6 in order to vote in the election. If you have previously registered to vote you may take advantage of early voting on Monday, October 15 to November 2nd. Early voting will take place at the Board of Election’s main office at 2525 Pio Nono Avenue. Early voting will take place on Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM or on Saturday, October 27th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  – Shane Hall
  • Students, The Watson-Brown Foundation Inc. is looking for students to apply to their Junior Board.  This group is looking for talented high school students who are interested in history.  You will conduct research and do site visits.  You will meet monthly with the board.  The online application is www.gcsu.edu/mansion. The deadline is Sept. 28.
  • Breakfast is served on every late start Wednesday from 7:00-8:45am.  There are a variety of breakfast goodies including an omelet bar!  Stop by and see the delicious items that you might like!
  • Remember, your student I.D. is also your lunch pass. If you forget or lose your student I.D., you can purchase a new one for $10 from Cindy Martin in the Administrative Building. If you don’t have your student I.D. and are on the dining plan, you can get a single-day lunch ticket for $2 per day at The Viking Store. If you are not on the dining plan, the single-day pass is $8 per day for middle school, $9 per day for high school and the charge is added to tuition. Remember, the three-day meal plan is for Monday, Wednesday, Friday and cannot be swapped with other days.
