FPD is offering a six-session SAT Workshop and Preparation Course for students in grades 10 or 11. During each session, students will receive instruction for the verbal and math as well as practice test questions. The purpose of this 12 hour SAT class is to offer test familiarity with the SAT, review math concepts and verbal skills expected on the SAT, and to reduce test anxiety associated with this kind of test.  Although we cannot guarantee an increase in scores, test familiarity and practice strengthens that possibility.  Students will rotate through a strategy session and sample test with Brad Thompson, FPD Director of College Counseling, a Math session with Julie Black, FPD High School Math Faculty, and a Verbal session with Kristy Alvarez, FPD High School English Faculty.
