Summer Splish Splash
For boys and girls rising in grades PreK – 1

Come join the fun as we splish and splash with hands-on, engaging sensory activities involving water. We will explore science, math, engineering, and the arts. This is a great way to stay cool and have a little summer fun with bubbles, boats, balloons, and more! Won’t you come splish and splash with us?

Once Upon a Time S.T.E.A.M. Fun
For boys and girls rising in grades 2 – 5

Join us for a fun week of fairytale-themed S.T.E.A.M. challenges and experiments. We will explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math all through beloved classics like Rapunzel, The Three Little Pigs, and Goldilocks.

Wild About Math

Bat League Camp
For boys and girls rising in grades 1 – 5

Enter the Dark City where a dangerous jokester and other evil villains wreak havoc.  Thankfully there is a bat hero who comes out each night to fight against these evil-doers!  The good guys will ride into action as campers build motorized models of the bat hero’s speedy vehicle and bat girl sleek cycle.  But, keep the bat light searching for the evil jokester’s motorized low-rider cruising through the city streets as well.  Send the bat hero swinging on his grappling hook technic model from one skyscraper to the next as he fights crime with his trusty super side-kick.  Campers will use their imaginations, building skills, and crime- fighting passion in this thrilling camp of bat heroes and villains!

Transformation Creation
For boys and girls rising in grades 1 – 5

Get ready to build and discover how your model Transforms! Campers will love the mash-up combination models that can be rebuilt into something different.  These awesome 2-in-1 models will include exciting robots, vehicles, and more!  Follow step-by-step instructions and ignite your imagination to transform your model into something unique.  Join us for this fun filled camp where you’ll use your creativity and engineering skills to build and transform!

Video Game Creation Camp
For boys and girls rising in grades 2 – 8

Students will develop a range of coding and problem- solving skills as they create fun video games.  Game designers will think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively to create various video games.  Each Game Design unit includes a themed mini-model built with LEGO ® bricks that will be the main character of all of the games.  Each game progressively teaches more advanced capabilities within the video game design software.  Students will be proud and excited to actually play their very own completed video games.

Stop Motion Video Camp
For boys and girls rising in grades 3 – 8

In this unique and creative camp, student will plan, script, stage, shoot, and produce their own mini-movie using stop-motion animation. Campers will use LEGO® bricks to tell a story, complete with music, special effects, and all of your favorite LEGO® mini-figure characters.

Brick City Engineers
For boys and girls rising in grades K – 5

Let’s build a CITY!  There are many different types of engineering jobs, and building is one of the most fun!  What would a city be without the architects and engineers who come up with the ideas, plans, and building skills to make it all come together?  Campers will put their engineering and architecture skills to work as they build city themed models using LEGO® bricks.  The sky is the limit when campers are challenged to use their own ideas and skills to build a skyscraper taller than their heads!  They’ll have a blast using custom built cars to move the people of the city all around town- brick by brick!  What an accomplishment to be able to exclaim proudly “We built this BRICK City”!

Reading & Writing

Handwriting Heaven
For boys and girls rising in grades K – 2

Students will learn the correct way to hold a pencil and crayons for maximum control. We will use a variety of activities approved by occupational therapists (trained in Handwriting Without Tears) that will strengthen these muscles and help them practice in fun ways. Students will take home a special pencil grip, along with photos of correct posture, grip options, and activities that can be practiced at home.

The World of Harry Potter
For boys and girls rising in grades 2 – 8

Do you love all things Harry Potter? Come spend a fun-filled week of activities related to the Harry Potter books. Your week will begin with a sorting ceremony followed by creating crests and drinking butter beer. The week will also include house competitions and crafts as well as acting out different scenes from the Harry Potter books. Friday will conclude with awarding the House Cup.

Leadership Camp
For boys and girls rising in grades 6 – 8

Students will work on positive character traits, team-building, and cooperation. Sessions will include various topics and activities such as team-building exercises, everyday dialogues, and Bible study. This is a great program for any middle-schooler who wants to know more about what it takes to be a successful, godly leader.

SAT Prep Class
For students rising in grades 10 and 11

Get ready to take the SAT in this prep class led by FPD Director of College Counseling, Brad Thompson. Geared toward new SAT test-takers, this class will go over each section and will also cover how to register, what the test looks like and other helpful information for SAT test takers. This preparatory class will greatly increase a student’s opportunities for a higher score on the SAT.
