We are excited to welcome students to our all new Viking Hall lunchroom. As announced previously, FPD’s 2020-2021 lunch options will be priced a la carte. Instead of an annual dining plan, students will be able to select from several options each day that are individually priced or priced by the meal. Students will only pay for the food they select. They can also supplement lunch brought from home with items served in the lunchroom.

Below is information about the program. A list of FAQs can also be found online.

Pricing:

Prices for hot lunches are in two tiers, based on your child’s grade.

Grades 3K*-5th          $ 5.00
Grades 6-12               $ 7.50
This price includes a meal plus a beverage. Beverages for 3K – 5th are milk, juice, or water. Beverages for 6th – 12th include fountain drinks, tea, lemonade, milk, juice, or water.

Students in grades 1-12 may also choose from a variety of freshly made, pre-packaged salads and sandwiches for varying prices, as well as desserts. Prices for these items are listed on the daily menu.

*3K option only for 3K students staying in FPD’s after school program.

How is Lunch Served:

Grades PreK-K – NEW: While we are working on our processing system for 3K – Kindergarten parents to order food online, please email Janet Strickland the day before by 3:00 p.m. if you would like to place an order for your child’s lunch the following day. Soon, parents will receive log-in information to see the daily options for lunch and order a meal online. Your child’s lunch will be delivered to his/her classroom.

To access the menu for 3K – Kindergarten:

  • Go to the main menu.
  • Find the drop down menu at the top left:
  • Then click on the arrow on the right. A second menu option will pop up:
  • Select the “FPD Kindergarten Menu” to see options for 3K – Kindergarten

Grades 1-12 – Students select their lunch in the Dining Hall, choosing from the menu options available on that day. Charges will be assessed and posted to the family’s FPD Smart tuition billing statement.

If you are concerned about your child over-spending, contact Jonas Smith, Director of Food Services, at Jonas.smith@fpdmacon.org. Jonas can discuss spending boundaries for your child.
