The Board of Trustees of First Presbyterian Day School and its Head of School Search Committee are very pleased to announce the selection of executive search firm CarterBaldwin (www.carterbaldwin.com) to assist the School in its search for our new Head of School. Mr. Chris Hornsby, Associate Partner, will be the main contact at CarterBaldwin.
Mr. Dwight Jones has been named to chair FPD’s Head of School Search Committee. Mr. Jones is President and CEO of Ocmulgee Fields, Inc., Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Charles H. Jones Family Foundation, and a past chair and member of the FPD Board of Trustees. He and his wife, Tracy, are the parents of two FPD graduates and an FPD senior.
CarterBaldwin will work closely with the Search Committee and the Board throughout the entire process. That process will begin immediately with establishing the role and qualifications, followed by the recruiting and screening of applicants, background investigations, arranging preliminary interviews and other important activities. The Board of Trustees anticipates hiring a new head of school to be in place before the start of the 2020-2021 school year.
The Board, Search Committee, and CarterBaldwin look forward to a high level of interest and engagement from the school community. A protocol will be established shortly for interested candidates and members of the community to apply and submit nominations.
Additional communication to the FPD family will follow in the coming weeks. The Trustees ask the entire school community to join them in ongoing prayer as they seek God’s wisdom and guidance and ask His blessing upon the School and the search process.
