Today, FPD is excited to announce three internal moves that will happen this summer! Congratulations to Dr. Kristy Alvarez, Mr. Shane Hall, and Coach Brett Collier for their commitment to FPD and all of their hard work. Well done!

 

Dr. Kristy Alvarez, Middle School Principal

FPD is honored to announce Dr. Kristy Alvarez as FPD’s new Middle School Principal. Dr. Alvarez has 25 years of teaching experience, the last eight of which have been at FPD. While at FPD, she has taught high school English and AP Language Composition. Dr. Alvarez holds a Bachelor of English degree from the University of West Georgia, a Master of Education degree from Berry College, and a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from Liberty University. During her time at FPD, she has served as the Yearbook Teacher, Mock Trial Coach, Varsity Softball Coach, Track Coach, Lacrosse Coach, and the English Department Chair. FPD is excited for Dr. Alvarez and looking forward to her leadership of our middle school.

 

 

Shane Hall, Dean of Students

FPD is honored to announce Mr. Shane Hall as the new Upper School Dean of Students, beginning in June. Mr. Hall has been at FPD for 13 years. During his time here, he has taught several Upper School History classes. Mr. Hall holds a Bachelor of History degree from Liberty University, a Master degree in teaching from GCSU, and is currently finishing his Doctorate in Education from Columbus State University. While at FPD, he has served as the Middle School Golf Coach, Varsity Cross Country Coach, Yearbook Teacher, Pep Club Advisor, History Club Sponsor, and History Department Chair. In 2015, Mr. Hall received the William Harris Bragg Teacher of the Year award. FPD is excited for Mr. Hall as he steps into his new role this summer!

 

Brett Collier, Associate Head Football Coach

FPD is honored to announce Mr. Brett Collier’s promotion to FPD’s Associate Head Football Coach. In his new role, Coach Collier will assist in some of the administrative duties associated with running the football program for the Vikings while retaining his role as the Strength and Conditioning Coach and Defensive Coordinator. Coach Collier is entering his 3rd year back on staff at FPD after serving as the Defensive Coordinator on two State Championship teams at ELCA in McDonough. “Brett is very gifted organizationally, and I think it’s an opportunity for great growth in our football program,” said FPD Head Coach Greg Moore. FPD is excited for Coach Collier as he steps into his new role this summer. Go Vikings!
