Exciting New Program!:
Starting August 12, middle school students can enjoy a new program specifically geared toward them called The Landing hosted in the lobby of the Middlebrooks Athletic Center (MAC) from 3:45 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
The goal of The Landing is to provide a fun, engaging after-school option for students while assisting parents who are not able to be at school between 3:15 – 3:45 p.m. for carpool pick-up. The Landing will be supervised by FPD staff and/or faculty with options for after-school games and activities as well as time for homework and study. We are outfitting the MAC lobby with fun seating options, study spaces, and game spaces.
Cost:
The Landing fees are as follows.
0-15 minutes Free
15-45 minutes $5 per day
45 + minutes $10 per day
Weekly rate: $40 per week (if registered in advance)
Late fees: apply for students picked up after 6PM
No Roaming Policy:
With the introduction of The Landing, we will be implementing a “no roaming” policy to enhance student safety and security after school.
No Roaming Policy – Starting August 12, after 3:45 p.m., we ask that middle school students be picked-up from school, be at an after-school FPD activity such as a practice or rehearsal, or go to The Landing. The library will also be open and available until 4:00 p.m. For their safety, students should not roam the halls or “hang out” in classrooms or gathering spaces around campus unsupervised. Students who are will be taken to The Landing at the Middlebrooks Athletic Center and parents can pick them up from there.
