FPD hosted the GHSA Class-A Area 1 Literary Competition on Monday, March 3, with several students earning bids to the State Competition.

Senior Paul Young took second place in the Boys Essay portion of the event.

FPD had a strong showing in the musical portion of the competition as senior William Roddenberry placed first in the Boys Solo and Julia Peavy took home top honors in the Girls Solo.

In Girls Trio, Mary Elizabeth Neisler, Sumner Carlton and Madalyn Ammann finished in a tie for first place with Calvary Day School, respectively.

All first and second place finishers will compete on Saturday, March 15 at Northside High School in the Class-A State Literary Competition.
