FPD’s Project Lead students launched a month-long campaign to collect items for Macon’s Brookdale Warming Center. Each Friday in February, FPD students can wear jeans instead of uniform attire in exchange for bringing in items for the Warming Center. “Our students were very excited about the mission of the new Warming Center,” said Holly Scott, FPD Community Service Director, “and wanted to initiate a school-wide effort to help those in need in our community. They love being the hands and feet of Jesus.”

The first week students collected over 700 pairs of flips flops that will be used as shower shoes. Later in the month, students will collect gloves, socks, and other needed items.
