Mrs. Lauren Cheek joins TEAM FPD as a 3K Aide. Originally from Anderson, South Carolina, Mrs. Cheek lives in Macon. She received her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Clemson University. She has helped lead children’s worship for 13 years, taught preschool music at North Macon Presbyterian Church and First Presbyterian Church for a combined 12 years, and has served as a small group leader at Northway Church. Mrs. Cheek is married to Matthew. They have two sons: Evan, who graduated in May, and Grayson, who is a rising freshman. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling together. In her spare time, she loves working in her yard, photography, and painting. As a long-time parent, she is excited to join TEAM FPD. “FPD is a special place as a parent and even better as a co-worker,” Mrs. Cheek said. “I am looking forward to being part of such a great team.”

 

 

Ms. Callie Glawson will serve as 3rd Grade Aide for the 2024-2025 school year. Ms. Glawson is from Macon and recently graduated from Mercer University with a degree in childhood education and special education with a reading endorsement. She has worked on staff for YoungLife Macon and coached lacrosse. Ms. Glawson is engaged to marry FPD alumni, Daniel Weaver, ’16. She enjoys anything outdoors, fishing, and hunting—especially turkey hunting. She also likes to play pickleball, golf, or any sort of friendly competition. “What excites me about joining Viking Nation is the sense of community and belonging that I have already experienced firsthand,” Ms. Glawson said. “As a former FPD YoungLife leader during my college years, I had the unique opportunity to engage with the vibrant spirit of Viking Nation. Through this role, I gained valuable insights and a love for the values and culture that define this exceptional school. I am eager to further immerse myself in this Christian community, contribute my skills and experiences, and continue fostering the spirit of unity and excellence that characterizes Viking Nation.”

 

Mrs. Victoria Harrelson joins TEAM FPD as a 3K Aide. Originally from Long Island, NY, Mrs. Harrelson now calls Macon home. She receives her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts from Adelphi University. She has previously worked as a sub at FPD, and her husband, Mr. Jared Harrelson, is an FPD football coach and Bible teacher. Mrs. Harrelson worked as a performer for Disney Parks Entertainment. She played a variety of Disney characters in multiple stage shows with her favorite role being Dory in “Finding Nemo: The Musical” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. “I am beyond grateful to be working at FPD with the opportunity to learn from a terrific team of seasoned and gifted educators,” Mrs. Harrelson said.”I am looking forward to coming alongside and being a help to these young image-bearers grow in their knowledge, understanding, and discovery of God and the world in which He created.
