FPD is excited to introduce Mrs. Brittiny Johnson, who will join TEAM FPD this summer as the new Director of Marketing and Communications. She and her husband, Donald, have two daughters, Taylor and Camryn, who will be Vikings in the fall!

Mrs. Johnson has an extensive background in public relations and media experience. Since 2012, she has worked at Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, GA,  as the Director of Public Affairs. In this role, she led the content strategy for both internal and external communications, managed media relations, served as a content creator for various platforms, and assisted with crisis communications.

Before moving to higher education, Mrs. Johnson worked for two different local television news stations. She spent two years at 13WMAZ, the local Macon CBS affiliate. Prior, she worked for KTXS in Abilene, Texas. While in news, she served in various roles including producer, reporter, multimedia journalist, and anchor.

As stated by Dr. Patterson, “Brittiny Johnson is a game-changer, and we are so grateful to have her as part of TEAM FPD. She brings a wealth of experience and expertise from secondary education – which we love – as FPD operates at all levels as a college-prep opportunity. TEAM FPD is better with Brittiny representing us in Middle Georgia. Most importantly, she loves the Lord and is most excited about having her family in our Christ-centered environment.”

Mrs. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcasting from Georgia Southern University and a Master of Public Administration degree from Georgia College. She’s taken part in the Young Gamechangers program through GeorgiaForward as well as the Georgia College Leadership Institute.

“I am truly honored to join the FPD family. The mission to educate and equip students to change the world for God’s glory resonated with me from the start. Once I was able to meet some of the wonderful staff, teachers, and students, I saw first-hand that FPD was a special place that does live out that mission. My family and I are excited to be a part of Viking Nation, and I look forward to helping build on the positive momentum already in place at FPD,” Mrs. Johnson noted.

Viking Nation welcomes Mrs. Johnson to our family, and we look forward to how God will use her to better reach Middle Georgia with the mission of FPD. Mrs. Johnson will begin at FPD officially on May 31st.
