FPD proudly welcomes these new teachers for the upcoming school year.
Mrs. Marie Seay will serve as the Lower School Spanish Teacher. Mrs. Seay grew up as a missionary kid in Argentina, where she called home. She graduated from Mercer University with an Elementary Education degree. She and her husband, Wes, live in Macon and have two children. Elizabeth will be in sixth grade and Matthew will be in first grade. Mrs. Seay previously taught elementary school and is excited to return to the classroom as a Spanish teacher. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing/journaling, visiting local coffee shops, playing board games, and spending time with friends and family. She is also passionate about studying Scripture and seeing how it applies to our everyday lives. She and her family look forward to joining Viking Nation. “My family is delighted to be a part of an intentional, Christ-centered school – where students are taught, hearts are loved, and the gospel is foundational.” Mrs. Seay said: “I am looking forward to teaching a language so dear to my heart!”
Mrs. Ashley Stokes joins TEAM FPD as a 5th-grade math teacher. Born and raised in Macon, Mrs. Stokes graduated from Mercer University with a Mass Communications degree, then attended Wesleyan College where she received her master’s in early childhood education. She has previously taught pre-k and 3rd grade. She and her husband have been married for 2 years and have a dog named Hans. She calls herself a huge foodie and movie lover. She enjoys working out, traveling, deep-sea fishing, baking, and spending time with family and friends. “I am excited to join a school that is Christ-centered,” said Mrs. Stokes, “where everyone—faculty and parents—have an active role in the educational experience of the students.”
