First Presbyterian Day School is again accepting applications for its Honors Scholarship Program for the 2014-2015 academic year. The Honors Scholarshipprovides partial to full tuition assistance for rising ninth graders in theMiddle Georgia area who demonstrate outstanding academic acheivement. 
 
In the tradition of academic scholarships found at top universities, the FPD Honors Scholarship intends to attract the most exceptional students from Middle Georgia to FPD’s High School program. FPD may award up to four (4) Honors scholarships each year. The scholarship is renewable each year to those recipients who maintain a FINAL grade of a 90 and above academic average.
 
To be eligible for scholarship consideration, a student must:
·       be a new student to FPD
·       be currently enrolled in eighth grade
·       be nominated by an adult outside the student’s immediate family (i.e., a current or former teacher, school principal or guidance counselor, pastor, family friend, or FPD graduate)
·       submit a completed application for admission with accompanying admission fee, academic records, recommendations and student’s photograph
·       complete a shadow visit, group testing and an interview with the selection committee
