Meet our International Program Staff
International Director
Ms. Melissa Brown is the Director of the International Program. Ms. Brown is from Macon and is a member of First Presbyterian Church. She has the sweetest Golden Retriever named Lolly, who loves everyone she meets.
Ms. Brown has been a teacher for 23 years, 16 of those at FPD. With a heart for missions, she has worked alongside missionaries in both Nicaragua and Mexico. FPD’s International Program is also very dear to her, as she began hosting an international student in 2024.
As International Program Director, she looks forward to meeting new friends and learning about new cultures, particularly in China and South Korea.
“Through our international program, we truly live out our school’s mission, ‘to educate and equip students to change the world for God’s glory,’” Ms. Brown said. “I am so grateful to work with these students and families and grow the mission through our international program.”

International Program Coordinator
Jessica Johnson serves as the International Program Coordinator at First Presbyterian Day School. She began this role in January and brings more than 13 years of experience working in the nonprofit world. Jessica is passionate about building meaningful relationships with international students and their host families and helping ensure a positive and rewarding experience for both.
Jessica and her husband, Jeremy, have two children, Bradley and Madelyn, who attend FPD. Their family also includes a sweet 10-pound cockapoo named Waffles.

Director of Korean Affairs
Pastor Alex Choi serves as the Director of Korean Affairs. He and his wife, Priscilla, serve as the Jones Family International Residence Directors. Their mission is to nurture their students spiritually, emotionally, physically, and academically as they discover and grow into God’s calling for their lives.
Alex is an ordained pastor with a BA in Worship Leadership and an MDiv in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University. As a former international student himself and with more than 20 years worship and youth ministry experience in Korea, Virginia, and Georgia, Alex brings both pastoral experience and a personal understanding of the international student experience. He is committed to helping students navigate the challenges and opportunities of life in a new country.
Priscilla holds a BA in Linguistics and an MT in Elementary Education with an endorsement in TESOL from the University of Virginia. She has worked with students of all ages in various educational settings in the United States and Korea. She is especially passionate about helping students discover and develop their talents, envision their futures, and prepare for their future educational and career paths ahead.
Alex and Priscilla are blessed with two children, Jonathan and Elisha, who love sharing life with the students in the JFIR.
