MACON, Ga. – 13WMAZ Eyewitness Sports has chosen FPD junior Kate Patterson as their “Athlete of the Week,” announced Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015.

A special segment will air on Eyewitness News at 6 p.m. on Channel 13 tonight.

In her first two basketball games of the 2015-16 season, Patterson has led the Lady Vikings to a 1-1 record.

Her season averages include: 20.5 points per game, 14.5 rebounds per game and 5.5 assists per game.

13WMAZ also likes to chose athletes of the week based on performance in the classroom.

Currently, Patterson holds a 3.9 GPA.

As a sophomore, Patterson averaged 11.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, two steals and 1.4 assists per game. She was also named to the All-Region 7-A First Team.
