3D Printer Edit
Thanks to a grant from the E.J. Grassmann Trust, the FPD Robotics team now has a new 3D printer! Over the last few years, the Robotics Team has made great strides placing high at regional competitions and advancing to state meets. To aid in the team’s fabrication process, Mercer University graciously allowed the team to use their 3D printer. Having a 3D printer on campus, will now allow the team to more quickly create, test, revise, and remake parts as needed for their designs.
“Now we can take the next step and actually produce on site the ideas and concepts that we discuss,” commented Tami Tesch-Jerles, FPD Robotics Advisor. “With a quick turnaround we can try out the new parts right away. Also the students will gain important skills to take into their college careers. We’re so appreciative for this exciting opportunity in our school!”
