As we prepare for the new school year, we need parent/student help in replacing damaged camera lenses in student tablet computers (6th – 12th grade). If your student’s tablet camera is blurry, we now have the ability to fix them onsite so they are clear. 

The repair takes about 5 minutes and can be done at FPD’s Media Center. We ask that parents sign up online for a repair date and time, so our IT staff can best prepare.

How to check to see if your student’s tablet camera needs to be repaired:

• Open up your student’s Camera application on his or her school tablet. 
• When the camera application opens, you should see yourself on the screen if the front facing camera is working. 
• If the rearview camera is displayed, your front-facing camera does not work. Please select a date and time to bring the tablet to the Media Center’s Help Desk for repairs.
