What do you love most about teaching?
I love being around the students and investing in their futures. I try to prepare them to be successful in college and ultimately in life.
What do you love most about FPD?
The family environment and Christian leadership.
Beyond the subject matter, what do you hope students will learn from you and your class?
I want my students to learn that if they work hard they can accomplish a lot in their lives. I want them to learn that they are not defined by what they do and what grades they make, but who they are as people and children of God. That is ultimately what matters.
What has been your favorite digital tool to use as part of distance learning?
I love using Flipgrid videos because I get to see the students, and they also get to interact with each other.
What do you think you will take away from these distance learning days?
I am learning what skills are essential for my students to have to be successful in the future. Also, I am learning new ways to engage them and give them more ownership of what they are learning.
