Below if FPD’s updated our guidelines for returning to school after a confirmed exposure. The new policy is in line with the CDC’s revised guidelines. Thank you for continuing to keep our campus safe.
CONFIRMED EXPOSURE WITHOUT A MASK. EXPOSED PERSON HAS NO SYMPTOMS.
If exposed on campus, parent will receive notification of potential exposure by school nurse. If exposed off campus, please notify school nurse.
Quarantine for 10 full days since last exposure to COVID positive person (as determined by FPD Nurse).
- If receive negative COVID-19 test result between day 5-7 of quarantine, may discontinue quarantine after day 7. However;
- must be symptom free for 24 hours, without fever reducing medications, before discontinuing quarantine.
- Through day 14 of exposure with positive person, student or faculty member must remain masked at all times, maintain social distancing from others, and monitor symptoms. If symptoms appear, stay at home and contact the school nurse.
Student or faculty member must remain quarantined away from COVID-19 positive person during this time.
