FPD Welcomes New Employees for 2026-2027 School Year
FPD is excited to welcome Ms. Sabrina Comeau to FPD as our new 1st Grade teacher.
Sabrina is a lifelong Houston County resident who grew up in Kathleen, Georgia. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia College & State University in 1995, and later completed both her Master’s and Specialist degrees in Curriculum and Instruction from Georgia College & State University, as well.
After 30 years of service in the Houston County School District, Sabrina recently retired and is excited to begin a new chapter of her care at FPD. Throughout her career, she has remained passionate about helping young learners grow academically and personally.
Sabrina is the proud mother of two daughters, Madison and Makenzie. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys traveling, reading, spending time at the beach, and helping coach sports at her church alongside her daughter.
When asked what excites her most about joining FPD, Sabrina shared, “I look forward to joining a close-knit community where families, staff, and students work closely together. I’m also eager to watch my students grow academically and personally this upcoming school year.”
We are excited to welcome Mr. Seth Parks to FPD as our new Upper School Social Studies teacher for next school year. Seth is relocating to Macon from Atlanta and brings more than a decade of experience teaching history and Bible courses in both Georgia and Kansas. He will be teaching 9th Grade World History, Economics, and Middle School Geography. Seth holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Kansas State University and a Master of Arts in History from Liberty University.
Having grown up in both Texas and California as an Army Brat, Seth developed a love for history, culture, and learning from an early age. Throughout his 12-year teaching career, he has been passionate about helping students understand the past while equipping them to engage thoughtfully with the world around them.
Outside the classroom, Seth enjoys reading, golf, skeet shooting, and music. He also speaks German (though he says it's a bit rusty these days) and serves as a Lay Eucharistic Minister within the Anglican/Episcopal tradition.
When asked what excites him most about joining Viking Nation, Seth shared, “I look forward to coming back to Macon and being part of a school community that has such a wonderful reputation.”
FPD is proud to welcome Mrs. Mary Jo Simmons as our new School Counselor.
A Macon native and proud FPD alumna, Mary Jo returns to campus with 18 years of experience in education and a deep passion for serving students and families. She earned her bachelor's degree in special education, along with master’s and specialist degrees in school psychology. Throughout her career, she has spent 12 years teaching math — including two years at FPD — and most recently served Monroe County Schools as both a diagnostician and school psychologist.
Mary Jo and her husband, Matt, have three children: Anna Cate, Livie, and Matthew. Outside of school, she enjoys singing, cooking, reading, going for walks, and spending time with her family.
Returning to FPD is especially meaningful for Mary Jo, as many families may remember her mother, Counselor Causey, who faithfully served in this same role for many years.
“I am most excited about helping students grow in their relationship with the Lord, encouraging them to trust Him through life’s challenges, and showing His love to those around them,” she shared. “It is truly special to return to FPD and follow in my mother’s footsteps as I begin this new chapter.”
