Neva Monsted Named FPD Student of the Month
First Presbyterian Day School (FPD) is proud to recognize Neva Monsted, a fourth-grade student, as this month’s Student of the Month.
The Student of the Month honor highlights students who consistently demonstrate strong character, responsibility, and a positive attitude within the classroom and school community. Neva was selected for her commitment to excellence, her respectful behavior, and her willingness to support those around her.
Teachers describe Neva as a student who leads by example. She remains focused in class, follows directions carefully, and contributes to a positive learning environment for her peers. Her calm and cooperative nature allows her to work well with others and encourages classmates to do the same.
Fourth-grade teacher Mrs. Kathryn Trescott praised Neva’s character, saying, “She is a kind friend and is always considerate of her classmates. She is willing to help anyone who needs it and does so with a smile.”
In addition to her kindness, Neva’s strong work ethic and leadership in the classroom have also stood out to her teachers. Fellow fourth-grade teacher Mrs. Rana Thigpin highlighted these qualities, noting, “She always completes work and assignments with excellence. She consistently demonstrates behavior that sets the standard for her peers.”
FPD recognizes students each month who reflect the school’s core values both academically and socially. Neva’s recognition as Student of the Month underscores her consistent effort, positive attitude, and impact on the classroom community.
