Seth Berkebile Named New Girls Varsity Soccer Coach at FPD

First Presbyterian Day School is proud to welcome Seth Berkebile to Viking Nation as the new head coach of the girls varsity soccer team. With over 13 years of coaching experience at both the school and club levels, Coach Berkebile brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for the game to FPD’s athletic program.

Experienced Leader with a Winning Background

Coach Berkebile currently serves as the Athletic Director and Head Soccer Coach at Wesleyan College. Before joining Wesleyan, he taught and coached at ACE, where he helped lead the girls soccer team to the 2019 GHSA A State Championship as an assistant coach. For the past six years, he has also coached at Macon Soccer Club and holds a US Soccer National C License.

"We’re excited to have Coach Berkebile on board, and we believe he will do a great job carrying our strong soccer tradition forward with the girls team," said Athletic Director Greg Moore.

Deep Roots in Georgia and Passion for Player Development

Coach Berkebile is a graduate of Mary Persons High School and Georgia Southern University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history. He and his wife, Amy, have a three-year-old son named Grady and are expecting their second son, Beckham, in October.

Outside of coaching, Coach Berkebile enjoys playing golf, attending Atlanta United matches, and going to sporting events. He also likes to surf and mountain bike in his free time.

"I am excited to be a part of the accomplished history that is FPD athletics and play a small part in continuing the success that so many other coaches and players have built," Coach Berkebile said. "I know a good bit of the soccer players at FPD and have worked with them in the past, so I look forward to getting back on the field with them!"
