Warren Easom (Class of 2029): A Season to Remember

MACON, GA – We caught up with Warren Easom (Class of 2029) to ask him a few questions about his incredible baseball season. Warren and his teammates advanced to the Junior World Series for the second year in a row—and this time, they brought home the U.S. Championship.

What memory from that season stands out the most to you?

“The one memory that stands out from this season is that we were not only able to make it to the Junior World Series for the second year in a row, but we were able to win the U.S. Championship. We won the championship with a walk-off bunt by my good friend and teammate Benton Wilson. I was on first when he laid it down, but I never made it to third base—I turned around to dogpile Benton in celebration with my teammates.”

What made that group of players different from others you’ve been a part of?

“The thing that made this team different was that we all have been playing with each other since we were ten, either in school ball, travel ball, or All-Stars. A few of us even played together when we were eight!”

How did the FPD community support you during that journey?

“FPD helped during this journey with most of my friends texting me saying congratulations or telling me that they watched the games. Also, some of my former FPD coaches texted me saying how good I did and how they were proud of me.”

Warren’s story is a reminder of what Macon, GA youth leadership and teamwork look like—hard work, dedication, and a community that celebrates together. Congratulations, Warren! Your Viking family is proud of you. ❤️🖤
