FPD’s Center for Discovery provides an array of after-school programs and youth athletic leagues for kids to explore new hobbies or enhance their skill sets. All programs are open to the community and led by Christ-centered mentors who encourage students to explore their God-given skills.
After-school art programs allow students to explore their God-given talents in the arts including programs in art, ballet, piano, and a variety of private music lessons. All classes are taught on FPD's campus by Christ-centered mentors and teachers.
For girls in 3K-Kindergarten
An introduction to the art of ballet through creative movement and music appreciation for students in 3K-K. Children are introduced to shoes and movements that will allow them to use their bodies in order to say something. Time will be spent developing individual expression and imagination. Each student will need a black or light pink modest leotard with ballet tights and shoes. A class demonstration will be given on December 7th.

Kindergarten – 2nd Grade (no previous experience)
Piano Lab Lessons- Come learn and grow as a piano student. Use FPD’s innovative piano lab. Students will learn and grow at their own pace in a fun environment. We encourage students to take lessons for multiple months in order to see improvement.

FPD offers a wide variety of music lessons with talented teachers here on our campus. Many of the teachers are well known in the community and in our school family for their exceptional musical talents.
Lessons are available in guitar, piano, flute, trombone, drum, violin, and clarinet.

Christmas Art Workshops
For boys and girls in K-5th grade
Artists will create 2 or 3 pieces of artwork from various materials that will make incredible Christmas gifts or become family treasures. Please note that the two Christmas Workshops will entail different projects.

Explore the world of robotics from a young age! Use your engineering and creativity to program robots in fun individual and team projects.
1st - 5th Grade Robotics
Students will focus on the fundamentals of engineering as they explore real-world problems, learn to design, and code and create unique solutions made with LEGO brinks and powered by LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 software.
Third – Fifth Grade

FPD is home to multiple Youth Sports Leagues including Viking Soccer League, Viking Football & Cheer, Viking Basketball League, and Viking Tennis.
