Summer Camp
Tuition is charged over 12 months, so your first tuition statement is now available on your Blackbaud Tuition account.

3K – Kindergarten: Since your child is enrolled for the 24/25 school year at FPD, you are able to sign them up for Viking Clubhouse in the summer! The student must be three years old and fully potty trained to attend. You are not required to also have them in a camp to use the Clubhouse from 7:30 am until 6 pm.

School Supplies

All school supplies for 3K – 5th grade are included in your tuition and will be in the classroom on the first day of school! FPD provides a school bag for all 3K – 1st graders. Students do not need a bookbag until 2nd grade.

Middle School Supplies

6th Grade Supplies:

  • 2 – 1 inch binders
  • 5 dividers
  • Pencils
  • Highlighters
  • Colored pencils
  • Markers
  • 2 Sharpies
  • 2 – Composition notebooks
  • 1 – Plastic folder


Algebra 1 and Physical Science:

  • TI-84 calculator
  • Quad-ruled spiral notebook or composition book (just a pad of graph paper will not suffice). 
  • Both pencils and pens will be used daily.


7/8 Bible:

Spanish:

Viking Connect is an online portal for all grades at FPD. Parents may check their student’s grades 3rd-12th, sign forms, and connect to FPD’s Smart Tuition payment platform.

School Uniforms

FPD students wear uniforms from Lands’ End, school number 900160573. Students can select from an array of tops and bottoms. Students in 3K and PreK are not required to wear Lands End bottoms, but encouraged to wear khaki colored or black elastic-waisted shorts or pants.

Spirit Shirt Fridays! On Fridays, FPD students can wear uniform bottoms and an FPD spirit shirt purchased from the Viking Store or received from school activities.

The Viking Store is your official outfitter of FPD Vikings. Students can choose from a variety of spirit wear, gifts, school supplies, and uniform tops.

Summer Reading and Math

Our summer reading program at FPD is designed to encourage students to read appropriate selections that can challenge and improve their reading comprehension. This summer, we are also including common reads in middle and high school to generate discussion next fall.

Summer Reading Program 2025 (All Students)

Upper School (6th – 12th grade) also has a summer math program.  Summer math is optional for new students. You will find your assignments on your students’ Viking Connect accounts. If you have a question about your schedule or what math class your child will be taking, please email Nora Veazey.

Viking Vocab: Campus Names and Phrases

The MAC
The Middlebrooks Athletic Center. Location of The Viking Store, the main gymnasium, and Viking Hall.
Viking Hall
FPD lunchroom. Serving delicious lunches for Vikings!
The Zach
The Zach Gymnasium, located in the Upper School Building. Used for select P.E. classes and middle school/JV sports.
Dress Down Days
Select Fridays in which students can wear jeans (no holes) and an FPD spirit shirt in exchange for a suggested donation to a service ministry.
Spirit Shirt Fridays
Every Friday, students can wear an FPD spirit shirt with uniform bottoms. FPD spirit shirts are shirts that students get from FPD activities – athletics, fine arts, school functions, etc. – or purchase from the Viking Store.
Late Start Wednesdays
School starts at 8:50 a.m. on most Wednesdays. Elementary students who arrive before 8:30 a.m. can go to the library for supervision by an elementary aide, and preschool students may go to a classroom for supervision.
Spirit Week

A week in which students in grades 9th – 12th compete in relays, lip sync, and school spirit. 3K – 8th grade have special themed dress-up days, and middle school students participate in class relays.

Viking Connect

Online parent portal for FPD. Check grades for students, sign forms, and connect to FPD’s online tuition payment platform. Go to fpdmacon.myschoolapp.com to log in using the same login information used to complete the FPD admissions application.

Moodle
Online platform to check school assignments for students in grades 6th – 12th. Students will be issued an FPD email address and password at orientation. Go to moodle.fpdmacon.org to log on.
