Calling All Artists

For boys and girls rising in grades K5 – 4th 

Calling ALL Artists to create! We will try some crazy techniques and produce some awesome pieces. We will get messy and enjoy doing so! Various materials are used during the camp. After we have cleaned up the art room, campers will get to go out on the playground and enjoy lunch together. All campers should bring a lunch with them each day.

Girls Rule Art

For girls rising in grades 3rd- 6th 

This “girls only” camp will use a variety of materials to allow these artists to express themselves. We listen to music, discuss techniques, and just have some great girl time! We will also go to the playground and eat lunch together each day. Please bring a lunch from home daily. This camp is not only full of beautiful art but also provides a “no drama” zone.

Music Camps

Explore the joy of making music in a variety of camps for elementary school students. Campers in all camps will learn more about music composition, instrumentation, and working together to create beautiful songs.

Instrument Exploration

For boys and girls going into grades PreK-1st

Kids will get to explore different instruments like piano, guitar, drums, ukulele, xylophones, rain sticks, and so much more! They will learn how they work, and where they come from, and will get to make some of their own instruments to take home.

“Foley” Music Camp

For boys and girls going into grades 2nd – 5th 

Foley is the art of adding in-movie sound effects using instruments, objects, and nature all around us. At this camp, kids will get to recreate the sounds from some of their favorite movie scenes using various instruments and objects that they will find around them. They will also get to learn about how microphones and recordings work, and how music and sound effects can be added to movies, TV shows, and videos.

Rock Band Sessions

For students going into grades 2nd – 5th

Kids will get to learn what it’s like to be in a band, play an instrument, write music, and record a song. They will get to play pianos, drums, electric guitars, bass guitars, and much more! At the end of the week, they will be able to listen to the song they recorded and hear themselves play.

Dance Camps

Explore the world of dance with a variety of camps that teach rhythm, balance, and creative movement. Students will enjoy games, songs, and dress-up activities throughout the week and conclude with a performance.

Creative Movement
For boys and girls rising in grades 3K – 1

Creative movement directs the energy of young children with music, physical activity, and various props, such as scarves, parachutes, ribbon sticks, beanbags, etc. It is a great way for them to be active while encouraging creativity, imagination, and physical development!

Dance ‘n Move Camp
For girls going into Prek – 1st grade

Experience traditional ballet and contemporary “pop” dance, as we combine a variety of dance styles such as jazz, lyrical, and hip hop. Campers will rotate between traditional and pop with lots of time for games, songs, dress-up activities, or recreational time. There will be a brief performance on Friday for family and friends to show what campers have learned.

Sewing Camp

Do you love making things? FPD's summer camps in sewing are a great way to learn more about creating wearable "art."

“Sew” Much Fun
For girls going into 3rd – 8th grade

Sewing is so much fun. Come make a pillowcase, purse, and some other items. Sewing machines and supplies are included. Spaces are limited.
