FPD Welcomes New Athletic Trainer, Shola Ogunde
First Presbyterian Day School is excited to welcome Mr. Shola Ogunde to our campus community as the new athletic trainer. Mr. Ogunde brings a strong background in sports medicine and emergency care, as well as a passion for helping students thrive both on and off the field.
Originally from Marietta, Georgia, Mr. Ogunde now resides in Macon, just a short drive from FPD’s campus. He earned his degree in Athletic Training from Mercer University, where he developed a foundation in student-athlete care. Before joining FPD, he also served as an EMT in the Metro Atlanta area, gaining valuable experience in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
When he’s not on the sidelines, Mr. Ogunde enjoys playing pick-up basketball, working out, watching movies, and spending time with friends. His holistic approach to athletic training aligns perfectly with FPD’s mission to develop students in mind, body, and spirit.
“What excited me most is using the field of sports medicine to impact student-athletes in mind, body, and soul for the Glory of God,” said Mr. Ogunde.
We are thrilled to have Mr. Ogunde join our FPD athletics department, and we look forward to the positive impact he will have on our student-athletes and the entire First Presbyterian Day School community.
