Elementary Robotics Camps

For boys and girls going into 4th- 6th Grade

In this fun-filled summer camp, students will build engineering and critical-thinking skills through Lego technology! Through the theme “Submerged,” we will explore the layers of the ocean and bring our ideas for the future to the surface! We will learn to design, code, and create unique solutions made with LEGO bricks and powered by LEGO Education Spike software.

Invent Tank: Entrepreneur Extravaganza

For boys and girls going into 4th- 6th Grade

Campers will create and invent solutions to real-world problems, design a business model, build a prototype of their product, and pitch their ideas to potential investors. We will study the history of famous inventors and businessmen and explore each inventor’s contributions to our world as we know it.

American Ninja Warrior Camp

The World of Harry Potter

Do you love all things, Harry Potter? Come spend a fun-filled week with activities related to the Harry Potter Books. You week will begin with choosing ceremony followed by creating crests and drinking butter beer. Handwriting and Fine Motor Skills Boost

For boys and girls going into K – 3rd grade

By using sensory activities and FUN, students will learn and practice the correct way to hold pencils and crayons for maximum control and success. We will use a variety of activities approved by occupational therapists (trained in handwriting without tears) that you can practice at camp AND at home. Students will have many brain and movement breaks throughout their mornings at camp. Students will also go home with a special pencil grip and photos that show correct posture and grip options.

Multiply Your Skills

For rising 6th – 12th grade

Give your students the opportunity to multiply their math skills by working on their assigned summer math packet with an upper level math teacher. Students will have time for individual work, group work, and one-on-one help with Mrs. Floyd. If they finish their packet early, students will be provided with opportunities to get a head start practicing skills that they need to be successful in their upcoming math course. This camp is available to any rising 6th-12th grade FPD students that would like to work on their summer math.
