After much discussion, FPD has made the difficult decision to postpone FPD’S 2020 Homecoming Alumni Dinner out of precaution related to COVID-19. We know this is not what anyone would prefer. Seeing our Viking alumni is always a highlight in the year. However, we feel it is in the best interest of safety for our alumni, their families, and our retired faculty who attend to postpone the gathering to a later date.
We are looking at spring dates and considering a tie in with FPD baseball or soccer. We will announce more details later this year, as we continue to monitor guidelines and developments related to COVID-19. If we are not able to host an event in the spring, we will reschedule for the fall of 2021 and host double-year reunions.
Classes with reunions this year may hear from your reunion organizer about changes or updates. On-campus, student activities related to Homecoming, including the football game and Homecoming Court, are still scheduled for October 16.
