Center for Discovery

FPD’s Center for Discovery is a beyond-the-classroom learning experience with camps and classes in the fall, spring, and summer. All programs are open to the community. Through the Center for Discovery students as well as adults can enjoy multiple opportunities to learn a new hobby or enhance their knowledge in art, academics, and athletics.

We encourage campers to sign up by Wednesday of the week preceding camp.  This allows us to adequately staff our camps and to ensure that the minimums for each summer camp has been met.

COVID-19 Related Entry Guidelines for all summer programs

*If camps must be cancelled due to COVID-19 precautions, parents will be notified two weeks prior to the start of each camp and full refunds will be issued. We will take things on a week-by-week basis throughout the summer.

Discovery Academic Camps

Discovery Camps include reading, writing, and S.T.E.A.M. themed camps that keep young minds sharp over the summer as well as teach new skill sets. View Discovery Camps

Learning Through Play Summer Camps

Get Read for School Year Summer Camps

Get Ready for the New School Year Camps span a range of ages. There are preschool boost camps for young learners as well as Algebra Review and SAT Review for older students. There is even a special one-day camp for rising 6th grade girls! View Get Ready for the New School Year Camps

Servants Heart Summer Camps

Servant’s Heart Camps are all about exemplifying Christ-like love to others. These include two very special camps that help young students discover new ways to use their God-given talents to bless others. View Servant’s Heart Camps

Athletic Summer Camps

Athletic Camps include long-time favorites such as mini-cheer camp, soccer camp, tennis camp, baseball, softball, basketball, and new ones such as Futsal and FPD Olympics. View Athletic Camps

Creative Summer Camps

Creative Camps include opportunities for young artists, musicians, dancers, performers, sewers, and bakers. Long-time favorites such as Girls Rule Art, Calling All Artists, Dance Stars and others are joined by new camps in puppetry, cooking, and kids music! View Creative Camps

All-Day Programs

Viking Clubhouse offers all-day summer programming (7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) for FPD enrolled students in 3K – Kindergarten as well as Before & After Camp Care for summer camp participants in those age groups. Learn more.

May 26 – August 7. No camp the week of June 29.

Camp Trailblazer is a new all-day (9 a.m. – 4 p.m.), summer camp option for rising 1st – 6th students. Participants do not have to be enrolled at FPD. Before & After Camp Care from 7:30 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. is also available. Register online.

Adult Workout Camp

Tough Love Morning Workout
For teenagers and adults ages 15 and older

The camp will consist of a 30-minute workout each day. Participants will complete circuit training in a fun and engaging way that promotes team work and personal fitness. Activities include jump rope, sprints, push-ups, sit-ups burpees, jumping jacks and other calisthenics and strength training. There is also the option of staying after class and completing a 1-4 trail run on the Peake Cross Country Trail.

Pop-up Camps

For boys and girls going into Kindergarten – 5th grade

Join us for fun-filled pop-up camps. We will take a break from the heat and escape the normal routine with different themed class on Tuesdays and Thursday starting July 14. Advanced registration is required and spots are limited.  You do not want to miss out on this pop-up fun!

July 14 – Water Extravaganza
July 16 – A”maze”ing Fun
July 21 – Tea Party Fun
July 23 – Games, Games, and Games
July 28 – Cookie Station
July 30 – Obstacle Fun

Time: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Location: FPD Campus
Cost: $15 per child and family maximum of $40 per pop up class.

Register for Pop-up Camps

Before & After Camp Care

Before & After Camp Care will be available through FPD’s Viking Clubhouse and Viking Crew. Parents can drop campers off as early as 7:30 a.m. and pick them up as late as 6:00 p.m. Camp counselors will escort campers from the Viking Clubhouse or Viking Crew to their summer camps and back. Before & After Care is available for FPD students as well as non-FPD students.
