FPD proudly announces three internal moves taking place this summer. Mrs. Lyn Brumbelow, Mr. Seth Graham, and Mrs. Calleene Newberry are taking on new roles. Viking Nation is grateful for their commitment to FPD.

Lyn Brumbelow

Mrs. Lyn Brumbelow will serve as the new Library Media Specialist for Middle and Upper School. She moves from her previous Lower School Computer Science Teacher and IT Support role, which she held for seven years. Mrs. Brumbelow received her Bachelor of Education from the University of Georgia and her Master of Education with a focus in Information Technology from Valdosta State University. Her husband Joey serves on the FPD Board of Trustees. They have three daughters who attend FPD.

 

 

Seth Graham

Mr. Seth Graham takes on the role of Dean of Students. He has served as an Upper School History/Geography Teacher for the last two years. Dean Graham will continue as coach for baseball and football and help supervise and support summer activities related to facilities projects. He graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science from Troy University and his Master of Coaching Education from Ohio University. Dean Graham enlisted in the United States Coast Guard in 2009 and has been deployed for counter-terrorism missions to Iraq, Kuwait, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He has spent a 14-year career working his way from lower enlisted to the commissioned officer corps. This year, he graduated from Officer Candidate School at the United States Coast Guard Academy, earning a commission as an officer. Dean Graham is married to Andrea, and they have four sons Easton (8), Jaxon (6), Sawyer (6), and Greyson (3). They will also welcome baby boy number five later this year (Knox).

 

Calleene Newberry

Mrs. Calleene Newberry is now an Administrative Assistant supporting the Head of School, the COO, and will assist the Lower School Principal in the afternoons. She transitions to this role after working as Elementary PE Teacher and After School Enrichment Coordinator last year. She is married to Mr. David Newberry, who is an Upper School Bible Teacher. Mrs. Newberry received her Bachelor of Human Development and Family Studies degree from Mississippi State University. She has previously worked as Administrative Assistant to the Chair of the Psychology Department at the University of South Carolina, as an Office Manager for an Ophthalmology Practice in Columbia, South Carolina, and as a Children’s Ministry Assistant at First Presbyterian Church in Macon.
