FPD is excited to announce Spiritual Emphasis Week, February 17-19! The week will enhance FPD’s godly leadership development with daily chapel sessions (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) for students in 2nd – 12th grade. FPD welcomes two guests speakers for the week, Wil Fason and Michael Morris.

Wil Fason

Wil Fason, Middle School Pastor at Ingleside Baptist Church, will lead our elementary chapels. He attended The University of Georgia and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education. He then earned a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Wil has served as the Middle School Pastor at Ingleside since July of 2019. Prior to that, he served as the Associate Pastor and Youth Minister at First Baptist Church in Dublin, Georgia for five years.

Michael Morris

Michael Morris, High School Bible teacher at Liberty Christian Academy, will lead middle and high school chapels. He is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick and the University of Maine. Michael began his teaching career as a Health and Physical Education instructor in public school in Canada and taught there for 17 years. He was also an Athletic Director for 10 years in Canada while coaching baseball, softball, volleyball, basketball, golf, badminton and soccer. Michael and his family moved to Lynchburg, Virginia, to teach at Liberty Christian Academy in 2007. He began as a Health & PE Instructor but soon became the Dean of Students for 5 years. He then moved to his current position, where his true passion lies, as a High School Bible teacher.

“FPD helps students grow academically and in their faith. Those two combined provide the best foundation,” noted Dr. Patterson. “The guest speakers at Spiritual Emphasis Week will enhance the Christ-centered preparation our students gain through weekly chapels and godly leadership initiatives. We are honored to welcome them to our campus.”
