FPD’s second graders enjoyed studying Arnold Lobel’s “Frog and Toad” book series. They practiced reading using this fun, lesson-centered series with beloved characters. Each day, they incorporated their language arts lessons into their science curriculum by studying the differences between frogs and toads. By studying their habitats, behavior, and physical characteristics, students learned more about both amphibians and the roles they play in our environment.

On Friday, students capped off their studies with a release of the frogs and toads in FPD’s educational gardens!
