First Presbyterian Day School is proud to announce the hiring of Brad James as the school’s full-time Security Officer.

“While we had many great candidates, Officer James represented the very best in school security,” Head of School Dr. John Patterson said. “We continue to focus on school security, and adding Officer James to TEAM FPD is the very best move we can make to enhance the security of our campus. Moreover, he believes in our mission as his children attend FPD. We are so honored that he chose to join us.”

Officer James comes from a long line of public safety officers. He worked with the Jones County Sheriff’s Office from 2018-2022, and most recently, served with the City of Gray Police Department.

Officer James has two daughters. Kinsley is going into 7th grade and Khloe is going into 1st grade. He and his wife Rachel are also expecting a baby later this year.

“I am looking forward to ensuring the students and faculty always feel safe on campus,” Officer James said. “I am also excited to join the FPD Christian family, which my kids come home and tell me about daily.”

When he is not at work, Officer James enjoys golfing and spending time with his family.
