FPD Welcomes New Host Parents for International Residence

FPD will welcome new host parents for the Jones Family International Residence this summer. Matt and Jamie Buren will join TEAM FPD and serve as host parents for male international students residing in FPD’s Jones Family International Residence. Likewise, they will support FPD’s international students through outreach and fellowship. The couple currently resides in Madison, Wisconsin and has a passion for service and sharing the Gospel.

In addition to serving as a host parent, Matt Buren will join FPD’s faculty as a middle school Bible teacher. Mr. Buren holds a Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and two bachelor’s degrees in business and theology. He is completing his Pastoral Training Residency at Eastside Church in Madison, Wisconsin. Mr. Buren has held several youth leadership roles including serving as a Youth Leadership Intern at CrossWay Community Church in Bristol, Wisconsin, and volunteering with YMCA and Blackhawk Middle School.

“We look forward to re-opening the Jones Family International Residence. It has been a goal, but we needed to ensure we had the right family to lead that mission,” noted Dr. Patterson. “God presented the Buren family, and we are honored to introduce them as host parents and welcome Mr. Buren as a faculty member in our Bible department.”
