First Presbyterian Day School proudly welcomes these new staff members to TEAM FPD.

Brooke Butler will serve as the English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher, as well as the international host family coordinator and the community service/mission trip supervisor. Mrs. Butler grew up in Macon and attended Appalachian Bible College in Beckley, West Virginia. There, she obtained her bachelors in ESL and theology. She completed an internship through FPD several years ago helping tutor international students. Mrs. Butler is married to Elijah Butler. She and her husband enjoy traveling and learning from other cultures. They spent some time in Guatemala this past year and were able to get involved with a non-profit organization there. Both taught Bible and English classes in the inner city. She is excited to join Team FPD. She says, “I have a huge burden for missions, and I love FPD’s desire to grow an international program. I am excited to take these students on trips and see them grow in their relationship with the Lord.”

Sloane Ivey will serve as a 4K Aid with Mrs. Carol Adams next school year. She was born and raised in Macon. A graduate of Central High School, Mrs. Ivey received her B.S. in Psychological Sciences from Georgia College & State University. Married to alumnus Jared Ivey, they have two sons that attend FPD. Knowles is a rising 1st grader and Lawton (Law) will be entering 3k. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and sons, working out, going to the beach, and cheering on everything Georgia Tech. Since she previously worked at FPD before she had children, she says she’s “excited to be on campus again but this time with my kids.”
