FPD’s tree at this year’s Museum of Arts & Sciences Festival of Trees is all about 50 years of faith and family. Adorning the tree are a variety of red & black-themed items including Viking masks made by some of our elementary students, 50th anniversary logos, and red and black buffalo check ribbon.
Mixed in are a variety of ornaments that inspire memories. Photo frames include photos from each decade, from the founding of FPD to today’s campus. Pennant flag garland circling the tree has memories from FPD alumni, handwritten on the chipboard pennant flags during FPD’s 2019 Homecoming. Finally, Bible verses representing verses our preschool students learn are tucked away in the tree just as they are tucked away in the hearts of our students.
“This is not a tree to look at with a quick glance,” said Beth Burnsed, Director of Marketing, “It is filled with stories and love. It was created with help from faculty, students, and alumni, and represents the heart of FPD.”
The tree can be viewed at the Festival of Trees going on at Macon’s Museum of Arts & Sciences throughout the Christmas season.
